Your epic voice in the gods and characters just shines through always. This piece was no different, but now poor Fortunato has himself in a tizzy. But a suggestion would be to illustrate the effect of the storm/waves on his vessels. I feel like you kind of glanced over it to the end result. SHOW, SHOW, SHOW!

I'll be subscribing to you also. Thought I already had.

Thanks for sharing.Justin W. I found myself wondering what kind of cargo he was carrying that was so valuable.

I do think perhaps you could tighten it up a little by removing some extra adjectives. Overall, though, very well-imagined! A fantastic weather piece!Nighfalahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01745824744507928211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5268893420926527615.post-90270399269899062732010-08-16T00:00:16.087-04:002010-08-16T00:00:16.087-04:00That was great. Weather here was essential to the destruction of the envoy.

After this line: The roiling cauldron of the sea pounded Fortunato’s ships like hammers to anvils, thrashing them into splinters" I would have liked to have more "showing" of the destruction. Not just the outcome, but the details.

This is a powerful scene; and I think you could develope it much more fully with the actual details of the crash.

Great scene overall. The drama and sense of impending doom really was well narrated.

.......dholedolorahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08715849844092553699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5268893420926527615.post-64893077783235348542010-08-15T21:59:34.439-04:002010-08-15T21:59:34.439-04:00Thank you so much for all your comments!Thank you so much for all your comments!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995267172282765794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5268893420926527615.post-10784085466650362122010-08-14T23:14:31.225-04:002010-08-14T23:14:31.225-04:00This piece made me breathless.
